Riverside Park hasn’t been damaged nearly as badly as I thought it would be; there are a few trees that appear to be literally split in half (one of which was formerly a “V” shape, with one half completely hollow!)
Talk about crazy luck: A very large branch fell from one of the London planes that overhangs the western sidewalk… and the giant “Y” literally straddled a small car that was parked underneath it! How’s THAT for dumb luck?
